The Wharfedale Pro Diamond 8.2 Active is a bi-amplified, two-way near-field studio monitor designed for accurate reference monitoring in recording and mixing. It features a custom-designed 6.5-inch woven Kevlar woofer and a 1-inch soft dome tweeter for a balanced, uncolored sound. The integrated bi-amplification delivers a total of 100W of power (60W LF + 40W HF) per speaker, providing excellent dynamic response. Connectivity is versatile, offering both balanced (XLR/TRS Combi-Jack) and unbalanced (RCA) inputs. A Bass Cut (HPF) switch is included on the rear panel for acoustic tuning, especially when monitors are placed close to a wall. The speaker is magnetically shielded for safe placement near CRT displays, and has built-in overload protection with a front-panel LED indicator.
